It was a Vibroluxe after all, Owner David Birch, 62, of Liverpool is one of Lennon's cousins stepped up to the plate saying JL gave it to him along with the 6120 Gretsch.
Pics to follow..
I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks eh? Watch out for both of them coming out of the woodwork..Lord knows how many were made of the little buggers.

The Vibrolux is a great amp,and the Tone Quest magazine has sung the praises of the early Brown Vibrolux, and yeah, you're right when somebody famous is documented as using something of a particular vintage, the amps become scarce and the price skyrockets...for example SRV and a Vibroverb amp.

If that amp could only talk, imagine the tales it would tell!
