ID like to know if running my 1967pro reverb in stereo would improve sound quality? Or not necassarily IMPROVE THE SOUND BUT PERHAPS A BETTER DELIVERY OF THE SOUND? What other ways can I get my BLACKFACE IN STEREO? OR DO I simply have to run another amp simulteneously TOGETHER? IS IT just unnecasary and a waste of time and money to have 2BLACKFACES RUNNING TOGETHER IN STEREO and just going to far ? THANKS!!!

I've done it with two Deluxe Reverbs,a DR and a Pro Reverb,a DR and a Brown Super, etc.
You get more volume naturally, but you'll get a cooler sound if you use something like a stereo chorus pedal, otherwise you're just running two amps in tandem, and one thing to understand is ground loops with two or more amps, that will give you a lot of hum.
In my opinion, for me,...I just like to push one amp a little more because I think it brings out the sound of that amp better, and if you want a selection with two or more amps, there's a ABY box by Radial,I think it is,Arjay suggested it and I bought one it's a great little box to have.

I routinely run two amps in tandem -- not "stereo" in the literal sense, but aurally pleasing nonetheless. With the amps separated and switchable signal chains, I can "bounce" myself all over the stage and double-track my solos with differing effects. It's a lotta fun!

two complimentary, different-sounding amps can be a thing of beauty, if the amps are in phase and there are no ground loops to ruin the fun.

Two amps is good three amps is better.Different frequencies are emitted by different amps and their speakers. That's why in a 2 speaker amp it's ALWAYS better to have different speaker brands.Frequency emphasis is different for each speaker.Kind of a stupid question, don't ya think?(I suppose not).

I am with tyguy.
One of these days I'm going to load my Marshall 4X12 with 4 different speakers. Lord knows what the composite sound will be like, but it'll be very useful for recording, and I've certainly got homeless speakers around...

by the way, I'm upgrading my ABY solution for my dual amp setup.

I bought the expensive Radial Switchbone, but 3 things really bothered me.

1) the "drag" control makes no sense to me
2) all their lit says the tuner out is buffered, but when my electric-powered Korg introduced noise into the Switchbone I confronted the company and they admitted that their site and literature is mistaken, that it is not buffered.
3) operating footswitches will sometimes cause the phase to spontaneously flip on one of the amps.

For $259?

So I'm dropping another few bucks on a Lehle, a German beast meant to be the most transparent and reliable ever. Ouch, but it's something I will rely on for years and years.
