Here is technical information on the amp

The amps are fairly rare, so you might have trouble finding a value.

We had a conversation about the v-front about a month ago. There was one on ebay..... didn't sell - reserve not met..... High bid was $2,225

I remember that thread, PF. Very enlightening.

I'm no expert at the real early tweeds but from perusing the V-front Super schematic I'd hazard that the circuit produces approximately 22 watts from its pair of metal-cased 6L6's.

Arjay, I actually got to see a tech I knew (Steve Dikun) work on a dual-Pro (think 1946 precursor to the Super), back in the late 1980's. It had two gray-glass RCA 6L6G (glass coke bottles). Metal 6SC7's. I believe he scoped it at just under 28 watts. Class "A," cathode biased.

The thing was a tone monster. Sounded very much like pre-WW2 Gibsons. The cab used this HEAVY solid pine. Like a coffin. Think that is where a lot of the great tone came.

I was so impressed by the tone, I redid a mid-1950's narrow panel tweed Twin to take brown based RCA 6L6GAY's (no not "pink" tubes). And 12AY7 inputs. Owner still has that amp and told me someone offered him $5K cash for it, on the spot.

Some of those early tweeds and woodies have tone to absolutely die for...
