I picked up a used Fender 2x12 cab in a trade. It's pine, including the back. Couldn't find a date inside it. It doesn't have the tilt back legs or the locks to secure a head. What kind of cab could it be? Looks to be 60's to me. I pulled the back off and it had a pair of EV/SRO 12L speakers....sounds killer but weighs as much as a 60's Lincoln, paired up with my 1974 Music Man HD130 head and it needs to stop at weigh stations on the interstate.

The exterior dimensions would be a big help. Pics too if you can manage them.

I checked out some info and it's mid 70's, the Fender emblem doesn't have the tail and has made in usa underneath the Fender logo. 32" wide by 21" tall by 10 1/2" deep....I would post pics but for the life of me I cant figure out how to move them from photobucket to here....

Those are the precise dimensions of the early/mid '60s era Bassman and Bandmaster enclosures. However, they would have the tailed logo, "PATENT PENDING" tilt-back legs, and anchor bushings on the top. As well, the baffle and back panel would be made of 1/2" MDF.

I'm wondering if you don't have a skillfully-built clone (I've built dozens myself).

Any grease-pencil markings or ink stamps visible within the cab's interior?

So are all of my clones.

We need to see pics, especially of the interior and the exterior hardware.

Your pictures on PhotoBucket will have an IMG code (), just copy the code and paste it in your post here. When you click preview or submit your post, your picture will then be visible.
