Hello my fellow Fender-nuts, I just got my Fender studio bass back from being service by my buddy Jake at STEAMBOAT ampworks, and I have to say: THIS AMP IS AMAZING! 200 WATTS of pure tube outrageousness, 3 12AX7s, 1 12AT7, 1 12AU7, and 6 6L6's..all JJ's. the tube driven active EQ gives this thing tone for days. The 15" speaker sings the music all aound my head! Finally, I own a peice of FENDER history! My Strat sounds amazing through it! I'm building a FENDER TUBE REVERB add on unit to put infont of the amp. anybody else been rocking these things with their guitar? I'll post more pics once I finish the grill. I'd love to see pics of anyone elses!

Sounds like a sweet amp. Cant see the picture from work, is that the combo or the head? I have a 52 TV front Bassman (home made) and I also terribly long for a reverb unit.

atolleter, it's a very LARGE combo, 28" x 24" x 12" and 101 lbs. thank the lord it's on wheels, but trying to move in and out of the backseat of my subaru is a pain in the...what's that area....lower back! I may eventually chop it down to a head in the future.

I can imagine the expression on the faces of those watching you pull that thing out of a Subaru! I used to own a 2001 Forrester and everyone at work kept calling me "Mr Lezbaru" when I came into the parking lot.

Got a 2007 Honda Element. MUCH better (note the manly colored font?)--- for hauling amps, guitars, & misc gear about. As well as dogs.

I wonder what that amp would project, if loaded with six 7581A's? My Twin Reverb is lethal with its Philips ECG tubes and two JBL D120F's.

LMFAO!!!

Like stuffing a big-box Dual Showman cab into the back seat of my mom's Valiant.

I was able to shove a Silverface GE-412 in the trunk of my Mazda 3 Saturday.

If you chop it, you definitely need to keep that 15 incher, maybe find 1 or 3 more like it and make a huge cab with, which you'll never be able to move again :) But just imagine how much air it would move.

I'd mate it to a quartet of V30's!

You'd pull a Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future.
