greetings fender lovers :D

my 1st post here on the fender forums
Im a drummer, my brother is the guitar player and is puter illiterate.

he called me up about possibly selling his late model super reverb.
I look at the products dating section on the suppport page but the only serial dating numbers I found were for stringed instruments.
so using that it dates the amp at either later 57 or early-mid 58.
the serial # is 23912
can someone tell me if this is accurate?
or link me to the page that has a valid fender products amp serial# list.

my brother also said the cabinet had 4 10s in the cabinet and seemsto think they are original equipment.
the only thing is the effects/reverb don't work, other than that it seems to play like a champ
any other info would be a great help or just point me where to get info on it

thanks in advance guys!

Is it AA763 schematic ? Because before 1963 there is no reverb on Super. Retro will help for sure.

thanks for the quick reply T

I'll have to call him on that "AA763 schematic" info but I just found the amp dating section using EIA codes and tube location sticker info to try and date this amp.

so what your saying is the SR amp didn't come around till 63 an beyond then.
well that gives me a good starting point ofr the date then.

btw
my bro lives in Denver,
can anyone on the forums here recomend a good place there to take the amp taht deals with vintage fender gear?

"23912" with an 'A' prefix makes it a '67 model.

Somebody has their wires crossed.

Here's a link to dating amps by serial number.
