I have a 1970 something dual showman head without a cab. I am thinking of building a cab. Does any know of a place to get drawings of an orig type cab?

I've seen plans for sale on Ebay from time to time. Look for a vendor named "skripto". He also sells excellent cab kits (I've bought several from him).

Where are you located? I have a Dual Showman cab with JBL speakers, silver front with the cloth in excellent shape, production year not exactly sure, but from the 70's, 20x32" size, in very good condition, except for some of the usual minor scuff marks around the sides. I can send a picture, if you want.
I want to sell it to someone who is a fan of these sort of things, and appreciates the beauty of it.

Definitely NOT a Dual Showman cab.

If the speakers are 12's it's likely a small-box Bassman or Bandmaster enclosure from the mid-60's.

I understand. However, this is similar to my tremolux. I am thinking of running stero, the tremolux clean and the Dual with the effects. The two sitting side by side might be good. What do you think?

My dear Mr. Arjay Know0it-all. It's marvelous how to can divine a make and model without as much as having a look at it, but making grand pronouncements nonetheless. With a divining rod, or by laying cards or tea leaves, maybe? I wish I could do that.
No, the speakers are not 12".

I happen to have in my artifact collection every Fender catalog showing every permutation of a Dual Showman amp and speaker enclosure every produced and marketed.

Got it?

I've owned several Showmans and Dual Showmans over the years, beginning with my first in 1969.

I know this gear like the back of my fooking hand, pal.

Post pics of what you got and prove me wrong or pour yourself a nice steaming hot cup of STFU and go insult someone else's intelligence and integrity.

OK, I going to start pulling parts together to build a 2x12 cabinet for my Dual Showman head. I'm pretty sure this was a feature for an early black face dual showman. Anyone got "build" dimension, schematic or drawing? The head has a silver trim around the grill, any suggestions where to buy trim or maybe leave it off?

Thanks for your replies! :)

Here you go -- build yourself one of these......

Image

This is a modified Dual Showman enclosure that I assembled from a kit -- I've re-oriented it to stand vertical and re-configured the speaker complement from the factory-spec 2 x 15 array to a 2 x 12 configuration. Solid-pine case and cleats, MDF baffle and rear panel, genuine Fender hardware throughout. Dimensions: 36"H x 24" W x 11.5" D. This cab projects better than the original horizontal layout and dispenses with the tilt-back legs and anchor bushings for attaching the head on top. It also offers a significantly-reduced stage footprint -- very useful when space on a band riser is limited. Mounted to the baffle are a pair of British-made Celestion V30's though I've had other speakers installed at various times. If you need drip-edge molding to match the silverface cosmetics of your head, there's a vendor on Ebay selling the extruded aluminum trim by the foot.

No more so than a 1960B stuffed with four twelves.
