I was curious about the reverb on my Super Twin Reverb. Basically it's terrible. With the reverb cranked up to 10 it's barely present with a short decay, I'm expecting some serious spaghetti western sound here but it's not happening. Is this common for this amp? If it is, is there a mod to fix that?
The tubes are fine by the way and nothing is blown.

My Super Twin Reverb has some serious reverb! It gets just a touch noisy when turned up, but my reverb drips at about 3 to 4. I like a considerable amount of reverb, and I rarely run it above 4. I don' know much about repairs - so I can't help out much there.

How old is the tank? Wiring and plugs ok? Perhaps reverb tranny?

This Beemer man is thinking the same thing as the other Beemer man. Likely a problem with the tank or leads to the tank. I'd buy a Hammond 6 spring tank and try that. You could have a continuity issue with one or more of your springs.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

An amp this old may have some corrosion issues relating to the input/output jacks on the chassis or perhaps the cables and/or plug ends themselves. I'd look there first as that costs nothing to check and little, if anything, to correct.
