I have a 78 SF Vibrolux Reverb I need to get a set of output tubes. I really like the tone of the tubes that came with the amp.I would like to get the same type. i have looked at the tubes but i down see a company besides special fender design.Do anyone have an idea what fender was using beck then.

My '78 Twin Reverb came with Fender-branded Westinghouse 6L6's when it was new. I think I still have two of them in my tube stash.

Yep, also Sylvania 6L6's and rectifier tubes. Preamp tubes were usually RCA, Westinghouse, and GE. Art

I've seen a few Raytheons and Phillips in some of the late silverface models too, Art.

How about some links to some vintage tube reviews.Or some info about tubes i see stuff on ebay about black plates and Different getters i would like to know more about these.I am learning anything could be in this amp
