No it's a '67 Silverface Deluxe, most things you read will say that the SF amps started in '68 but in late '67 they started and you can find both BF and SF.
Greg Gagliano I think I spelled that right, has studied Fender amps and their production dates for years and has posted some excellent information on them,he told me that SFDR of mine is a very early example.
Later I'll try to post a link to that info if somebody else doesn't do it first.

Here's Greg's list of dating Fender amps by serial number...I know he requested owners to send him info of their amps to use in his work,I sent info on several of mine.

Actually the silverface era began earlier than that, RS.

I used to haunt a music store in Belleville, Illinois on weekends as a kid -- drooling over all the neat geat on the display floor. The owner took a shine to me and would let me play anything that caught my fancy and I'd try to help out whenever chores needed doing. In mid-April of '67 a load of new Fender gear arrived via truck and I helped to unload and uncrate it. Included in the shipment were several student-model amps -- Champs, Vibro Champs, and Princeton Reverbs. All of them had the then-new silverface cosmetics. It was real shock to us all since the 67-68 catalogs had yet to arrive and nobody was aware of the change. Later in August of that same year I bought my first new Fender amp from that store, a Super Reverb. It was a silverface, probably built in late June or early July.

As an aside, most '67 silverfaces will not have a two-letter date stamp or a production code on their tube charts. To date these, the amp must be disassembled and inspected for an ink-stamped date on the chassis itself -- usually on the inside, adjacent to the power tranny.

The Bassman seems to have been the last of Leo's original line-up to make the leap to silverface -- I recently saw an original AB165 head dated October '67 that was still in blackface guise. As well, I talked with a friend some time back and he swears he bought a Pro Reverb in March of '67 that was a silverface. Thus, cosmetics were in a constant state of flux that year.

Arjay,I was aware of the ink stamped chassis, and that, plus the info I sent Greg was all the regular stuff, pot codes, tranny codes, etc.
I really didn't know the SF era started that soon in '67,as usual there seems to be plenty of misinformation concerning that....firsthand observations such as yours really help.
And,I can imagine how you felt in that store with all the cool stuff, that was a magical time really,as far as good gear was concerned, even if it was CBS. Like you I was dreaming about all that stuff and all I had was an old tweed Champ, along with several other tweeds in states of disrepair. :D
Imagine,us with our easily had tweed amps,Strats or Teles,or even the old fashioned BF stuff...lusting after SF amps....seems like another world.

Some things are just "timeless", Tyronne.

Like the '69 Chevelle SS396......

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual chronograph......

The Colt 1911 pistol......

The Philly cheese-steak sandwich......

The Deluxe Reverb falls into that category......

PERFECTION!
