anyone who is familiar with the ggg stage center unit please help. I'm currently amassing all necessary parts. Im kinda embarassed, but I don't recognize two of the pieces on the charge pump, one marked "1k" and the other marked "6kg". Its probably something silly, but i dont want to buy the wrong thing

Interesting gadget. Looks like they should be resistors, padding down the input. 6kg=6K8=6800ohms. What is being plugged into the TRS input ? Art

That resistor is relatively small for an input, that's why I asked about the TRS input. If you take a look around your circuit board, you'll see 470k, 33k, and 1meg resistors. The 6K8 and 1K are readily available. I'm not familiar with this unit. But it seems to be an active control unit for an in-amp reverb system. Do I have that much right ? Thanks, Art

I read 6K8 that's mean 6,800 ohms and the other one is 1K ( 1000 ohms)

awesome. its nice to know they're resistors, as well as the values (6k8 wouldve stumped me). The unit is basically a reverb tank pedal. This means you can get the crazy crashing reverb sounds by kicking it. Listen to the song "Goin' against your mind" by built to spill and you'll see what im saying.

This may seem like kindof a dumb question, but what is the difference between the tan resistors and the blue resistors, besides 4-5 bands of color?

There no dumb question, you want to learn and is a good quality.

Tan resistor are probably made with carbon film material an the blue one with metal oxyde

Tan resistor : low noise, low power drop, high stability. The blue one ; stability on high temperature, excellent flame retardant coating.

thanks. I saw this pedal done right with the blue resistors. not many in this project, so it wont cost me much. las thing, id like to use a breadboard, just for ease of use. is there a huge downfall for this, or is it okay?
