HELLO EVERYONE!!! If we can put preference aside for the moment,Would you all say that this blackface is of equal or better quality than the VOX AC15 HANDWIRED HERITAGE AMP that I have? Im new to tube amps, and IM just curious to what the opinion of some of u is about that. ONE thing I dislike about the VOX, is that chimy bright tone yuk :? AND the fact there is no reverb , But hey what am Idoing this a fender chat room not VOX !!! :? I think I can really get some great guitar tones workin with these 2 amps together   .Any of you have a blackface pro reverb? thanks again  out!!

You purchased an amp with no reverb and complain that it doesn't have reverb???

You don't like that your VOX amp sounds bright and chimey???

Did you test out the amp in the shop before you bought it?

I WILL PROBABLY BUY A DELUXE REVERB NEXT CAUSE I WILL COMPLAIN THAT MY PRO REVERB IS TOO LOUD FOR MY HOUSE EVEN THOUGH I NEW IT WAS 40 WATTS SO IM THINKING INEED SOMETHING SMALLER LIKE A DELUXE ,BUT WAIT!!! HELP!I WILL SAY THIS SLOWELY FOR YOU !!!I LOVED THE VOX BUT AT THE TIME I PREFERED REVERB. IT DIDNT HAVE REVERB BUT IT WAS SUCH A GREAT DEAL AND GREAT AMP THAT I FIGURED I WOULD JUST BUY A REVERB PEDAL AND WHENI FEEL A CERTAIN DIALED UP TONE IS TOO CHIMEY(WHICH VOX IS FAMOUS FOR) I WILL DIAL IN SOMETHING WITHOUT SO MUCH BRIGHT AND CHIME, WHICH I DID AND STILL DO . OK I UNDERSTAND ITS VERY SIMPLE. I WILL LET YOU NOW RESUME SURFING THIS CHAT ROOM FOR WTF THREA!DS.

I CAN EASILY DIAL UP TONES THAT ARENT BRIGHT AND CHIMEY ON THIS AMP, IM merely stating that these are the things iI DISLIKE about that amp (bright and chimy sometimes is cool just not all the time) (for me)

Hey you Vox guys, does the Heritage have a tube rectifier ? I know the the first AC30 reissue(maybe 10 yrs ago ?) had a GZ34, then I think they got away from that. Just wondering about the hand-wired amps. I've read good things about the Vox15 C1 & CC1. Where are my manners ? Welcome to the forum ! Art

Koocho, the good news is, they're taking care to package that amp for the shipping trauma. As far as I know, all brands of amps are open for discussion on this forum. Actually, my all time favorite amp was a '95 Matchless Clubman 35, I played for years in a Blues band. Played Fender amps before and after the Clubman. So I'm most familiar with the older Fenders, but amps are amps, and any decent amp is worth talking about. Art

Indeed!
