I bought a silver face twin reverb back in the mid 70's. It was used and it has the drip edge grill cloth. How can I find out FOR SURE when it was made?

Drip-edge silverfaces were only made for two model years, '68 and '69. The first of them actually began to appear in stores in the late summer of 1967. Probe around your amp's chassis and look at the EIA date codes on trannies and pots. There may also be a date ink-stamped on the underside between the P/T and the eyelet board. Compare what you find with serial number data here......
