I've got a '74 Dual Showman Head but no cabinet and was thinking of ordering a Mojotone extension cab. The quality seems great and they even have aged Black/silver /blue '70's grillcloth. Has anyone on here dealt with them before?

No, but I love your amp, I'm sure it will sound great with a pair of 15's in a cab. I used to use a Shoman head and Cab for Bass in a Cream/Zep Band back in the early 70's. The only thing loud enough for that band I could find.

Thanks, actually I'm going with a 2-12" cab. I've played through another and loved the sound and the lighter weight. The 15's are awesome, but I don't think I'd ever take it out of the house because of the weight.

I can relate to that. I didn't have that amp long, went back to guitar and bought a "New" '75 Twin Reverb, I just sold last year. Great Amp, hated to sell it. Now I'm into smaller amps, just picked up a mint '83 Super Champ, and gigged it last weekend, nice size and sounds great, think I'll keep it a long time.

I know what you mean. I bought a Fender '57 Deluxe reissue handwired amp, and I can't seem to leave it home. Small, light and sounds amazing!

My primary rig remains a Twin Reverb with a Dual Showman extension cab. But lately I've been fond of playing these two smaller and less-powerful amps in tandem......

They're substantially lighter to load and heft around and for smaller venues I can push them a little harder into the "sweet spot" without perforating any eardrums.

I'm kind of a numbskull with computers, I haven't found out how to post pictures yet or I'd post my Super Champ and 'some other stuff. [/img]

Thanks, pts.

Some of the hardware used on those custom cabs came from Mojotone.

Mojotone makes good quality gear of many types, and here in the USA to boot. Good customer service as well.

I use a lot of Mojotone supplies for the cabs my brother & I build.
Their service & delivery schedules are great.

But their shipping rates are outrageous!
