does anybody know what type of speaker would fit into a Reverb deluxe 72-78 silverface,

the amp itself has a 200watt sticker on the brain and has four inputs two on the left side without reverb and two inputs for the side with reverb, just not sure what type of speaker would even fit into it

and i forgot to add its 8ohms. where ths speaker plugs into

thanks in advanced :)

The Deluxes of this period were 12" 8 ohm ceramic speakers. My 78 had a Pyle (Utah) speaker in it . I swapped it out with a Weber 12F150.

thank you very much:), my old speaker that was it in i think was the first one, it had the fender logo in blue and everything on it. but i use a few pedals and such for my amp,

i know it needs 8ohms but do i get the 25w or 50w, and i have clue what doping is

A Deluxe Reverb in proper operating condition is fully capable of being overdriven to in excess of 25 watts RMS, especially so with multiple gain-enhancing effects in the signal chain. A wiser choice would be a speaker rated for 50 watts.

It's alleged that doping provides additional rigidity to a speaker cone to improve the bass response and prevent "flabbing". IMO it strangles the mids more than anything else but it may be useful for a long-throw speaker such as a Jensen, Weber, or Tone Tubby.

The 200 watts you read in a sticker is input AC watts. The power need from your wall outlet to drive your amp.
Audio power ( output at the speaker) is generaly about 1/4 of input watts. This work for all audio gear.
By the way, my coffe machine "have" 600 watts !!!

Man,that 200w thing is one of the most misunderstood thing about amps.
I've had to explain that so many times.
My coffee maker drives a 15" JBL...love that crystaline gurglin' sound.
