I have a Super Twin that I have kept well maintained.
The reverb just stopped working? The coil was replaced just few years back.
Is there anything I can check on my own or is this a problem I need to bring to my Tech.
Thanks :?:

Did you try replacing the 12AT7 reverb driver tube with a known working 12AT7? Also, is it possible that the foot switch is bad?

Good luck!

Welcome to the forum, Edik ! I wish I could give you an easy fix, but that's doubtful. You could check the reverb tanks plugs and jack connections, also the whether or not the reverb works with or without the foot switch. Usually, I'd suggest replacing the reverb driver tube 6CX8(V2). this tube is available from www.tubesandmore.com, at $4.50. So this is something you could do. If that is not the problem, then the recovery tube would be the next suspect. But this is where a problem occurs. This tube,V3(6C10) is kind of rare and about $30, but you would have to search out a source. So this is where a tech would be of value. It would be best to check out the circuit. Could be a $1 component. After all this talk, a reverb tank substitution should be done, duh ! My bad. Art

Art, Thanks for posting correct tube. I had no idea that Fender used these tubes to drive & recover the reverb tank.

Also, may want to check continuity across the two coils on the tank, itself. If burnt out, gotta replace tank.

And don't forget to clean your rca jack connectors ( reverb plugs) on the amp and on the reverb tank as aclemppopi said.

I had this problem very often.

The 6C10 is a triple triode and was used in a couple of other Fender amps as well, most notably the Rivera-era Super Champ. They're rare as hen's teeth and very pricey.

Hey Arjay, any ideas on who might have that 6C10 ? I found that AES is out of stock, but didn't go any further. Hey BMW, what kind of carbs were in that 2002 ? All I can remember are SU's, but I know I'm forgetting the others of that era. Art

No idea, Art. If I see any though I'll give you a heads-up via e-mail.
