Doubtful. Whether the tanks are linked in parallel or series, you'll be altering the impedance that the amp's driver and recovery stages want to "see" to properly perform their roles. You can try it (no harm should result) but I'm guessing that you'll either have a massively overloaded-and-distorted signal or conversely no reverb at all.

so basicaly if i want a standalone tank to be special i should just find a wicked cool kick $@! tank. nit mess with schematics and such.

A stand-alone tank (ie: a 6G15 or equivalent) used in front of a reverb-equipped amp would definitely work. I'm not sure you (or anyone else) would be pleased with the sound but the guitar signal would contain a delay component from both units when both were used simultaneously.

actually i was planning this AS the tank from the amp. this would be the amps reverb unit so it could be controlled by the amp itself. rca jacks and junk

Right, I see what you're saying. IMO The problems that would have to be addressed would be: Powering the other tank; Phasing that reverb unit with the existing unit; Mixing the aux. reverb with the original reverb and dry signal; Finding room for the power supply, reverb xformer, and associated tubes and components. As I see it, you would be adding another independent reverb unit. IMO Just adding another tank would drop the signal down too low. I guess, I'd get the internal reverb up and running, and try linking up another tank. I'd also try a pedal or tube reverb in the front end plus the internal reverb. If the sound is what you're looking for, then there is the in-front option or somehow adapting it to insert just before the phase inverter. Interesting endeavor ! Art
