Hey all, I've got a 1967 Fender Bandmaster Amp and matching cab. It is the AB763 chassis. One owner since new, very good-excellent condition. Any idea what the current market value is for this? Thanks in advance.

There are two excellent sources on-line.

First - The Fender Field Guide. It lists all of the vintage Fender amps dedicating a page to each amp. At the bottom of each amp's page is a macro that tracks ebay sales. This is a great place to start.

I don't know if the prices listed for the amp heads include the speaker cabinet.
http://www.ampwares.com/amp.asp?id=27

Second - is http://www.gbase.com/

Gbase is an on-line market place where vintage dealers can list their inventory. There is a very nice search engine on the site. Use the advanced search and give the date ranges for the blackface amp. You should get a fair number of returns.

Now stop teasing us and post some photos of this baby

Technically speaking, there are three 1967 Bandmaster head and cab sets.

There's the very early '67 (Jan-Feb) blackface version that still featured the original 21" x 32" "small-box" speaker enclosure.

Then there's the first of the "big-box" Bandmasters (still in blackface) which introduced the 29½" x 40" vertical cabinet.

Finally, there's the late '67 Bandmaster which marked the debut of the silverface drip-edge cosmetics, circa August. It too shipped with the "big-box".

The small-box sets in serviceable condition go for upwards of a grand. The blackface big box sets (rare to find but less desirable due to the bulky size) might command $850-900. The silverface version, less -- perhaps $750-800.

Indeed they are -- I have three of them.

This one's particularly tasty......

A '66 head mated to a self-made Showman cab configured for a pair of 12's.

Growl and fattitude, with sufficient grunt for most gig venues.
