resently i had the pleasure of playing on a vintage 57 blues deville amp and couldnt believe how much warmer sound this amp had compaired to most modern amps.it had a brite and crisp tone and realy nice tremelo,i ve played the new one also and its a gem also but it was a real treat to jam on a original from fender from so long ago,the only bad thing was the price as you could imagine was in the range of about $2500.00 but if you like old ones it is worth it.

I seem to recall the Blues Deville showing up in the early 90's.

57?

Typo?

1994.... Sure you don't mean 57 Deluxe?? The Deluxe doesn't have Tremolo though. Huge difference. No way I'd pay $2500 for a Blues DeVille.

Fender made precisely two amps equipped with tremolo in 1957 -- the Tremolux (introduced in '55) and the Vibrolux (introduced in '56).

WTFO?

No.

It's laid out just like the original.

Hummm, can't picture the '57 Deville. Did they have the big tailfins ? I think they still had 1/4" thick chrome, though ! Art

A '67 Black Face Deluxe Reverb in great condition might have a $2,500 price tag on it and it would have tremolo. It's clear the OP had a brain fart while typing. Either that or it's just a ruse to see how much reaction the post will get. Being it's a first time poster we have no way of knowing. It could be anything.

I have "The Soul of Tone" open in front of me.

In 1955 Fender introduced the Tremolux and in 1956 they introduced the Vibroluxe. Those were the only two tremolo equipped amps until the 60's.
