Howdy Folks,
I'm new here and just have a couple of questions.
1st; I am considering selling my Fender 400PS and really don't want to,but if do what should I let it go for?

This is a clean amp and has only one small ding and has been well taken care of.
2nd; can I forgive myself if I did sell? :(
Thanks

Hi: I have no idea about price for your PS 400, but I sure would be interested in it. Maybe we could work out a trade for something of interest to you. I wish I could do the local pick up thing as I do live near Midland, but it happens to be near Midland, Onatario Canada. Still might be interested, but it may be too much hassel for you. Distance and borders can make things difficult. I am hoping to find one locally but so far no luck.

Howdy Fender007,
I still cant find anyone ta put an apprasial on this amp.
I need the money for Meds due to recently having 3 heart attacks.
If we can find out what they are goin for we'll get together and talk about a price.....

This is a very Powerful amp and hate to let it go,
as well as a Mesa Boogie B-16 cabinet thats in near mint condition....
This is a Monster package trust me.
Thanks for the interest.

Just wondering if you've listed the amp in Vintage Guitar Magazine. I'd probably go for 2k that's negotiable, for the amp. You're kind of fishing here, but a die-hard bass player with some knowledge about amps will certainly be fired up to see that one of these amps is available. IMO a pro player or a collector are the likely buyers. Not being a bass player, I don't know where to direct you, but maybe the folks on the bass amp forum can be of more help. Good Luck ! Art

Thanks fellas....I'll try that....
I would rather just use it and make some money but noone around here wants to take me cuz i freestyle and here everyone I know are too much stuck and wont loosen up.... they are trippin on themselves.....
Everyone I know thinks they gotta get a buzz before a reheasal......
and it dont work with me anymore due to health reasons...
All the drummers are drunks and I just cant handle bein around em any more.
If I hear the cotton eyed joe one more time, just take me outback and belly shoot me ,,,,,ya know what I mean?

So, I'd rather just stay at home and tie flies.

I recently saw a 400PS together with a Fender Spectrum bass cab on the Bay Area (SF) Craig's List for $1000. I'm not sure if there were any takers or what the final price might've been. There doesn't seem to be much demand for these behemoths (not that there ever was, frankly).

Whoa ! A grand with speakers ? Goes to show how out of touch I am. All of the bass players I worked with over the years used the older Ampegs, of various sizes, depending on the gig. But I always liked the idea of the 400 PS or the 300PS. Any way I know what you mean about folks getting ripped at and during band rehearsals. Walked out on a couple of projects due to that. Don't mind folks getting high or drunk, but when we're supposed to be working on a piece of music, that just doesn't fly. I've only had a couple of experiences of players getting too stoned at a gig, but those were just onetime pick-up bands. Yeah, it's discouraging ! Hang in there, man ! Art
