Hi, and thank you for taking my questions, I was wondering... I have some speaker "buzzing" "low end" I have tried at least 8 different speakers with my amp, and the same deal. I have a 1976 Fender Twin Reverb amp. Everything with the amp seems fine, but I have been going crazy over this low end crap out. Is it some thing that could be inherent in the amp? tubes?

More likely, it's the cabinet coming unglued. They weren't build very sturdy back then -- not like the earlier blackfaces with lock-jointed corners.

To confirm, pull your chassis out of the box and play it "nekkid" through the original cab and speakers.

In general if you have a problem with a number of variables and you've varied one of the variables numerous times and the result doesn't change, it's not that variable.

If you tried 8 different speakers with the amp, with the same results for each, the speaker is not the problem.

It could be the cabinet, it could be something in your room. I had a bad buzz with my BDRI on certain bass notes. Turned out to be the back panel of the wooden "entertaiment center" I had it sitting on. I kicked out the back panel and added reinforcing screws to the entertainment center. No more buzz.

I posted this in one of the Bass Amp threads but it might just apply here.

I was going to suggest that you move the amp to another room because of a problem I had with mine. I was getting a nasty buzz every time I plucked a "B". Didn't matter if it was on the seventh fret of the E string or second fret of the A string. It was a nasty sound that made me think that one of my speakers was faulty. Changing speakers didn't help. I started to think it was the head, itself. But I couldn't find anything wrong in the circuitry. Finally, my six year old granddaughter solved the problem. She thought it was cool the way one of the photos on my wall jiggled when I played. I took the photo down and like magic, the noise was gone. This happened with a Bassman 250 head and separate 410 Bassman cab.
