Hi Retroverbial, thanks for the info, but let me make sure that I have this straight, If my internal amp speakers are not working, I pull the out jack and put in my ext. cab @ 8 ohms into the main out? or should I use the ext. out only? thanks again! Ricstar

Correct. You must have some kinda load wired to the main speaker jack. Four ohms are preferable, 8Ω will do in a pinch (though the amp will only produce about 66% of its rated power with that higher-impedance load).
