Yeah Gene, I think page 2 is what you've got. It shows the pedal jack. Anyway I can be reached at: aclempoppi@att.net. But I'm serious about the ground wire gauge. If it's that real thin stuff, the resistance can be high enough to create a voltage and compromise the circuit. Just another idea. Art

Yes, that is the one.

I will check out the ground wire as well. Thanks. My ground wire is the same as the other Vibrolux with no hum, though.

I studied the schematic carefully and figured it out. Working great. Very quiet even with the boost on.

I'll have to tweak it some more with different tubes. I might try different reverb pans as well along with a new pair of speakers.

It was the choke. Shorted inside.

Well that's great that you found the culprit. Seems I was on the wrong end of this one. Any way, that amp shouldn't need any repairs for quite some time. BTW how does the B+ voltage look now? Art

Jazzgene I'm glad to read that you found the problem : short choke !
By the way, B+ is little is too low you should read at least 435 to 450 vdc You could have another problem in the futur but for now if your amp sound is great, that's good.
I will apreciate if you can send the schematic at:
louisguitare@videotron.ca

Can't believe it has been a year already since I fixed my Vibrolux Reverb. Just wanted to say that this amp has been playing great all this year. Many gigs. The B+ is 415v and some think it is too low but has shown no issues and sounds great.

I think this is the first time I've ever heard someone trying to use the pull boost on a Fender amp...

I have one on my Princeton Reverb. Used it once, and it sounds horrible. With it not engaged, it sounds like a regular Princeton Reverb.

Do you find a use for it?

Dittos with the pull-boost and master volume on my '78 Twin Reverb.

Another one of those "what-were-they-thinking" moments at the CBS-Fender "ranch".

Nope. The boost is not used at all. It is useless.
