Hi, I'm know nothing about the 'Pro' fender tweed...
I found one in a shop for 3000USD ,it's from '53 with a single 15' speaker Gensen alnico blue 5....it seems a good price....I read about old tweeds are very much expensive.
I wonder if it has to be like a Bassman.....or it has nothing to do with it?

I believe you want to compare both 53 in the Wide Panel tweed.

I believe the Pro was less wattage at around 20 while the Bassman was at least 25. Tonally, the Pro was 12AY7,2x6L6G,5U4 and the Bassman 6SC7,2x5881,5U4G. Based on that configuration, I would think the Pro would have slightly less gain, cleaner with more headroom while the Bassman would have more gain, break up earlier and sound somewhat louder. I'd believe the difference in sound to be subtle though.

I think the Bassman from the same year fetches a little bit more money than the Pro but the sound has to be similar. You may indeed save a couple of hundreds. If it has not been use in a long time I'd have a tech check the components and install a 3 prongs plug.

That's what I've seen in my travels too and +1 on the 3 prong electrical plug.

Ok,thanx to all u
look also this....the same shop sell also an Orange 4x12 cab from '71......don't u know nothing about it,if is better than a '71 Marshall checkboard speakers cab?
I read about Marshall started to build his speakers cab with a back baffle board of chipboard in '70-'71(changing the birch ply board).......do u know if a '71 Orange has still a ply back baffle board too?...or also it is with chipboard?
