I do not kid, sir.

It's hosed -- no two ways about it.

This is the correct orientation......

No sweat, Art. Matt will fix it up. He did an outstanding job on the Tolex -- I know he won't settle for second best on the grill. It's gonna be a real swell restoration when he finishes it up......real heirloom quality.

Ok, before I make another mistake, let me see if I got this correct. The brown line runs horizontal and is continuous on the speaker side and skips on the outside. Is this correct?

Thanks for your replies.

Correct, Matt. And if it were BF cloth, the same protocols would apply -- The contrasting color runs horizontal to the normal position of the cab when played and is visible at the rear of the weave pattern.

The only exception to this is the cloth(s) used during the silverface era. In that instance the blue, turquoise blue, or rust orange thread ran vertical with the cab's normal orientation (again, visible at the rear of the weave pattern).

(e-mail me off-board and I'll send you some pics that illustrate a foolproof way to attach grill cloth so the pattern is absolutely straight)

Hey all, the Tremolux has a slight hum. What and how can I check things out to see if I need to replace electronic componets. Thanks for you replies.
