I'm looking for an original grille cloth for a Super Reverb amp, a Silverface 1968 with the aluminium trim.
The previous owner put a black grille gloth.

I check on Fender.com and I don't see a grille cloth for those old amp.

The closess one "Blue Sparkle, 0037788000" not sure is the rigth one.

I e-mail to Fender, wainting an answer.
I e-mail to Mojo Tone too.

Have you any answer for me ?

Thank's

CBS added a Master Volume control with a pull-boost pot and a solid state rectifier in 1975. In the meantime, the logo was changed to the modern-looking tailless style and the power increased to 70 watts.

A Line Out jack socket, a scripted tailless decal, an orange sparkle grillcloth and a 3-band EQ on the Normal channel were added in 1978.

Super Reverbs produced between late 1980 and 1981 have black face cosmetics and a silver sparkle grillcloth.

Master Volume has a pull-out pot for distortion.

This Super Reverb (pictured below) was made a couple of months before the start of the so-called "Rivera" era in 1980.

Translation:

I understand you to write in english. It's most useful laguage on the web.
But it's good to know i'm not the only French speaking here.

You found those informations on Ampware web site I think ?
I know them. But I'd like to know which grille cloth is the closest to original silverface area .
The blue sparkel sold by Fender or the one sell at Mojo or ...another one ?

I don't whant poor imitation

Salut,

(English translation)

Hello,

Effectively, Fender sells the famous sparkling blue grillcloth of the Silverface amplifiers of that era. In fact, Mojotone's version is an exact replication of the original.

CBS, Fender's owner at the time, replaced the blue sparkle grill with a sparkling silver grillcloth with orange threads. Also, the modern-looking tailless amp decal on the top left corner of the grill became scripted. These changes occurred around 1976/77, when CBS increased the power from 100 to 135W on certain amplifiers.
