Yes, after a many back breaking gig, it is time to let go of my first born. My body will not permit me to move it! SUNN 2000s with 2-15 Jbl d-140f's we/ they used to call this the refridgerator! [because of its size] I think they used 1'' birch ply wood for the speaker enclosure. the thing had it's hay day in my younger days, and did see quite a lot of them at woodstock. and despite some tolex rips, the thing is still strong. I have heard that, Fender had interests in sunn, back in the 60's- 70's. but never created a full appreciable line of amps. I dont really know the value of it. It certainly is a classic 1968! I dont use it, I am and will always be a FENDER guy! don't want to list it on [you know what!] the freight must be a killer! anyways, just lookig for some advise, [other than making a boat, out of it!!! all suggestions are welcome my children of Fender hood!! THANKS Ricstar

I also used to have some of the large Sunn amps back in the 70's, and was able to sell them many years ago. I'm not sure they would fit in any car I own today, short of putting down both rows of seats in my Suburban. In any event, about 10 years ago came across the Fender produced Sunn T50C combo NOS sitting in a music store in NY, I purchased it for $200. Although the amp is 50 watts of pure tube power, it sounds like many more, and it is only a single 12 combo. The clean channel is outstanding and switching to the dirt channel gets great Marshall crunch. Lots of features for the amount I paid, outstanding tone, but the downside is it weighs 75 lbs, more than a Twin Reverb!

I've had two SUNN amps that I've used in the past. First was a Sunn Coliseum Lead with a six-10" cab (really heavy!) then had a Sunn Stagemaster twin twelve for a few years. These were pre-Fender models.

I recall the 2000S and the weight of those cabs too! :?
