Super Champs were designed by Paul Rivera and produced a couple of years before CBS selling Fender to Bill Schultz.

Consequently, none of the aforementioned amps were made during the pre-CBS period.

so I'm told, whatever the year, the Super Champ is a sought amp for studio work...any ideas on value?

The Super Champ and the Super Champ Deluxe were made from 1982 - 1985. The Deluxe differed only in appearance. They were roughly 3X the power output of the regular Champ and had a 10" speaker versus 8" on the Champ. Early 80's amps don't have as good a resale value as earlier models and I sorry but that's about all I can tell you.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The Official Vintage Guitar Price Guide 2006 said his value $500-$575.

And I think is the same for 2010

It might be easier if I just give ya my mailing address...

Seriously, I'd hold onto it. I think you'll see the value rise as the years go by.
