Hi Nedorama. Is the cabinet available already assembled as a unit that you can just install your amps guts in,if so what's the price and where can I get one? Thanks.BTW the Bassman sounds absolutely deadly through the Marshall cab, mine is loaded with G-12-L-25s so they break up nicely when you crank the Bassman moreso than G-12-T-75s would.

I got mine from newellamps.com and I believe it was $277 without speakers. Mojo and others make similar. Very happy with the build quality and my chassis fit perfectly. I did ask him to paint the inside black, which looked better to me. I Got the Weber Californias direct from Weber and installed myself.

I'd shoot JD an email and tell him what you're looking for either in a 2x12 or a 1x15. Nice guy to deal with.

Let me know if you have more questions or want to see more pictures from the back.

If you're familiar with common hand tools, have some rudimentary carpentry skills, and know how to glue Tolex on, you can save yourself some $$$ by starting out with a D-I-Y cabinet kit. There's a fellow on Ebay who makes them to order and they finish out beautifully -- I've built several of them and just started another one in fact.

Best of luck, HTH

Funny you should mention that Arjay - I looked at a lot of those kits as well, and even bought a dovetail joiner to use with my router...

but don't have the time or the skills. I think I could easily do the woodwork, and could tint/stain/urethane it to look fantastic, but applying Tolex seems like an art and I know I would have screwed mine up.

If you can do the tolex, by all means. Or if you want to just stain and clear coat, by all means.

I may have to try and make a 1x12 closed cab with dovetail corners - something simple and fun with that jig.

I'm no rocket scientist but with each cab project I finish, I get a little more adept at it...

This was the first combo cab I've built in a long time -- and there's a real trick to getting the panel "break angle" and exposed upper corners correct. One more and I think I'll have it down pat.
