Nice loud (180 watts!) 76 Super Twin, 2-12" Eminence speakers with the huge square magnets. One speaker is in need of a recone and I'm wondering about what to replace them with. Probably 150-watters? Any suggestions?

Bluesax, that's quite an amp! Guess the JBL or Electro-Voice speakers would be the obvious choices. But if you're not cranking that amp up all the way, on a regular basis, I'd consider the Weber high power California or Chicago speakers. Welcome to the forum. Art

Thanks Art,

I am just starting to get into amps and guitars after years of repairing band instruments. It's an adventure, I'll tell you. Been buying a few old Fenders, reading and watching dvds. Lots to learn but I'm loving it. I'll check on those speakers. I'm also going through a 67 blackface Twin Reverb and am stuck on what filter caps do I get to replace the originals (yep, still there). Again, thanks.
