The photos are cool, but the sound clips are horrible, especially on the Twin and Champs.

Better sound clips would have done a little better in the education department. Sorry but Twins aren't that dirty and brittle. Neither is the Bandmaster, Vibrolux or Champs. I know firsthand because I have either owned them or still do. Why throw cheesy distortion on these amps and ruin the beautiful tone of them. That's not what they sound like even cranked up. It's still nice to review the specs though.

nice visuals and very nice collection.

however, HORRIBLE on the music samples. I own a Princeton, Princeton Reverb and a '65 Bandmaster and none sound anything like what is on the site. This would have made me run the other way from Fenders if this was the first Fender site I had come upon 10 years ago.

How were these recorded? On the Princeton Reverb the sound level is all over the place. The mosquito-tone on the Bandmaster is horrifying. If you want to have those, great, but I would suggest having 3 tones:
1. Fender Clean
2. Fender Grit - volume pushed, no pedals
3. Fender with pedals - go for it, but tell us what pedals are in front.

Signal chain would be nice - is this a '57 on all of them? What preamp? Also in this day and age, full-quality WAV, AIFF, or QuickTime Files are readable by most computers - or at least use a higher quality MP3 file format.

Other question - the specs look suspiciously like the Ampwares Fender Field Guide specs - if so, a footnote or "specs courtesy of" would be warranted.

Don't get me wrong - this is clearly someone's labor of love, both in acquiring the amps and building a great visual website for each amp; I just want to see the sounds live up to the same level of excellence and not be a turnoff for silverface Fenders.
