Just got a fender 75 early 80s valve combo with 15 inch speaker. It sounds awesome. I got it for £300 and immediately sold my vac 25 this sounded so much better.
Anyway it has no footswitch can I channel change without a footswitch at the moment I can only play on the clean channel and the reverb is always on.
This is not a problem as I bought it for the clean sounds I just wanrted to experiment can I use 2 ordinairy single footswitches.

cheers for your replys in advance.

Not sure if you can use two separate foot switches but why not get the correct foot switch for it since you are most likely going to keep it. They pop up on eBay occasionally or you can get a new one at any of the big online suppliers. I have a 75 that I have had since 1983 and I wouldn't part with it.

I have a 75 as well. Without the FS you won't beable to change channels or turn off the reverb. You could turn the reverb down. Definitely find a FS, when I stumbled across my 75 I stopped shopping for large amps.

I found an excellent 75 with 15 JBL speaker, owner wanted to get rid of for an SCXD. A few month's later he didn't like the SCXD, so he emailed and asked if I would purchase that as well (wanted to buy an FM). Both were $100 each. The 75 has a great sound with Teles/Strats. The 15" speaker really shines. Mine had the original footswitch with green/red lights. I must say that I usually use it clean, or just a bit of hair, as I prefer a pedal for OD. It's tough to dial in a decent OD on the amp. The clean is really worth it. It has several boosts features that are interesting, but the clean sound is really where it is at. You may want to do a search, as I recall there was a thread that indicated having the footswitch plugged in vs not changes some tones.

It's the combo version?

The 75 came also into a compact "piggyback head" format.
