Sometimes your rca plug ( in your amp) is so dirty that no contact is possible.

With contact cleaner, plug your rca cable in and out many times 4-5. Spray contact cleaner on your rca end of your cable before.

You can try without contact cleaner too. In and out.

If your rca cable is short ( the 2 wire twist together at one end ) like Art said and you do what I write before, then you have problem in your tremolo circuit

No offense but,if you're asking questions like this, you have no business poking around inside the chassis.
Learn as much as you can about what's inside and what can kill you and then someday maybe....
Like I said,no offense,but it's dangerous in there.

Hi Ric, you can check to make sure V5 is a decent working tube. If you're going to open the chassis check out the " squealing reverb" thread in this forum(Feb03). Scroll down and you'll find a post about discharging the filter caps. You'll also need the layout for your amp(Twin Reverb AA270).
If you're interested in working on your amp, I would suggest that you get a book on introductory amp maintenance. "The Complete Guide to Guitar and Amp Maintenance" by Ritchie Fliegler is a good one to start with. The book and parts are available from Antique Electronic Supply at www.tubesandmore.com. Art
