Hello, once again I present to you anotherwonderful Fender endeavour!!! Just purchased a ?? 71 Twin Reverb, sweet as can be, but neglectected to bring a foot switchwith me, no big deal right? no one uses vibrato anymore! [resale] bing!! oh ya! when I got it home no vibrato! I am not an electronics expert, by no means, but did the research, and found it out to be [so I guess, after many experiments on it] the vibrato LDR. Can this lillte bugger be replaced by a somewhat novice tadesman/ solderor? Believe me there are no more amp guys out here, so, you have to do everything yourself!!! Thanx again Ricstar

Hi Ric, the vibrato needs a closed switch inorder to operate. You can duplicate this by stripping an audio RCA cable, exposing the inner conductor and the shielding conductor. Twist these together and tape. Insert this shorted cable into the Vib switch jack and test. The LDR can go bad, but I'm guessing this will get it ticking. Art
