I believe this cabinet is from the late 60's. It only says "Fender Solid State" across the top. I believe it originally was paired with an identical cabinet and and a non-fender PA head before I acquired it. I had the rear panel off once. It has 4 staggered Fender 12" speakers with square magnets. I've searched on the internet and found close matches (such as a PA with similar cabinets with only three speakers). Is this a PA cabinet, bass cabinet, or what? It works great with whatever I run through it. Anyone recognize it?

It kinda looks like an old vintage Fender Rhodes Tone Cab 4-12, but it's not exactly the same. Does it have blueback Fender speakers?

yes, i believe the speakers had blue labels on the magnets. think my guesstimation of late 60's is accurate? another detail: the handles are on the side of the cabinet as seen in the picture, and there are caster mounting brackets on the other side as if it was intended to lay on its side as well. not sure if this was just for moving it around. also there is a single 1/4" input on the back.

The handles might have been installed by a previous owner, but yes, I think that your period correct.

It seems as though they made the same cabs for the Rhodes as the sound system from that era.
