I went with the Bassman, mostly because I'm a bass player and you can't beat an amp that has great bass and guitar tone all in one package.

I'd go with Princeton, as a tweed Princeton run flat out (without effects) was responsible for some of the most expressive and evocative guitar sounds ever recorded, namely Larry Carlton's tones on "The Royal Scam." That's why I use one in my studio (actually, a customized version of a tweed Princeton).

It was a tweed deluxe. He said so on his website www.mr335.tv.
