Ok so the tube chart in my princeton shows that the circuit is an aa764 when it should be an aa1164 which leads me to believe its a 66 as well as the chasis dating to 66 but the stamp code on the tune chart is OK which when I looked it up O is the code for 1965 and K is the code for November

Check the transformer date codes. Sometime tube charts are leftover from a previous year. I don't believe the Fender logo was on the 64-65. If your's has the logo, it's probably a 66. Hope this helps..... 8) Mike

Usually, the latest date is the one to use, as earlier dates would indicate excess inventory. I guess the exception could be if an early replacement part was used.

On the front panel, does it say:

Fender Electric Instrument Company

or

Fender Musical Instruments ?

as far as I know, I believe the princeton AA964 blackface dates as follows:
A00100 to A02500-1964, A02500 to A07000-1965, A05000 to A09900-1966. the princeton reverb AA1164 blackface dates as follows: A00100 to A02100-1964, A02100 to A07100-1965, A06500 to A14700-1966, A14700 to A18700-1967. I think the serial numbers apply to chassis types and not specifically to amp models. checking transformer and pot dates would help to narrow down actual date of amp. I should mention that I have, what I thought and was told, was a 74 pro reverb. After researching the serial #, I found it is actually a 78 pro reverb with a push/pull master volume, inwhich I didn't even realize, it had. I don't use it anyway, as I like its tone pushed in better. good luck in dating your princeton, thats my next amp, on my want list.
