So I ended up getting the amp its in super condition from not being played in over 35 years and not turned on in the last 5 the tubes are good but a little dusty but when the amp is heated up it makes a sound that's comparable to bacon frying what could it be thank you in advance

Hi there, Brian. The noise is arcing and can come from any number of sources. I wouldn't run the amp until it is checked out. You don't want to damage any of the components, especially the transformers. Art

Thanks art yeah its been unplugged since it happened and I talked to a local shop and they'll take a look at it(at a tune of 60 bucks an hour)

The $60 an hour can be a lot cheaper than destroying the transformers and other internal parts. Could also be as simple as a bad rectifier tube. As others have said, you're due for a new electrolytic cap can and also changeover to a 3-prong electric cord - save the others in a baggie along with any other replaced parts.

You don't say where you are located but if you're in Southern CA, Harbor Music has had plenty of experience on Fenders, including my Bandmaster and my Princeton Reverb.

Thanks ned but I live near detroit but yeah ice already found a overhaul kit just have to pick it up and have it installed
