I have searched the net and can't seem to find this answer. Hoping someone can help me out here.

I have a 1965 Twin Reverb Blackface Amp that I have had for years. I haven't played in a while and have no use for it. I want to sell it and use the cash toward one of my other hobbies, Mountain biking.

I found out it was manufactured in April of 1965. It is from the Fender Electric Instrument company. It has the AB763 Circuit package (I think that is what that means). I recently had it re-tubed and a new 3 prong power cord was put on. A couple of caps were replaced. I do not have a foot switch. The amp is quiet. I would consider it in excellent shape. there are no dings on the face and the speaker cloth is in excellent condition. It has casters that I am guessing were aftermarket. The speakers are EVM 12F.

I have owned it for a long time and everyone who has ever played on it has raved about it's tone. I want to ask my musician friends if they would like to make me an offer, but have no clue what I should start the bidding at. I see some going for $1500 in much worse condition, and some as high as $3k!

Can anyone here please give me an idea of what I should be asking?

Many thanks for your responses!

I've seen alot in the price range between $900.00 - $2500.00. there are a few advertized in vintage guitar magazine, including dealers and private ads. With a subscription to that mag., you can place an add for free. I would start high until you find a buyer willing to pay close to what you want.

By your description alone and not seeing or hearing it, all I can guess it that it would probably be worth between $1200 and $2500, maybe more if mint?

Good luck!
