can anyone tell me what and how to use the 1/4 jack marked hum balance in back of my 74 s.f fender amp? thanks

Hi Dutchy, that jack is the access openening for the 10k hum balance pot. Take a look inside with a flashlight and you'll see a plastic cap with a slot for a straight blade screwdriver. If I remember correctly, the procedure is to warm the amp up; take it off of standby; turn all volume and tone controls to midway; adjust hum balance control for least amount of hum. This is done without any input, the reverb and vibrato turned down. ART
