Just wondering what the preferred method is for forming new electrolytic caps, and reforming NOS electrolytics that have been out of service for half a year or so? I've always used a variac, but have recently learned how arbitrary the method can be. And I'm the first to admitt that I don't spend as much time bedding in caps as I used to(2hrs vs 24hrs). The self regulated current method seems like a superior way to do the job. Any one have any experience using both methods? Thanks ! ART
