Hi folks,I'm a new member.
I have found a '63 Bassman 6G6-B 40W tolex head 'brown panel'....
What are all the differences between a Bassman 5F5-A head and a '63 6G6-B head?

6G6-B solid state rectifier, more clean headroom.5F6-A, heavenly circuit, tube rectifier, earlier breakup. The 5F6-A was Jim Marshall's choice circuit for the first JMP 50's, and JTM-45's.(the rest is history). Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum. The 5F6-A was a tweed amp too. They can run up to 15,000.00. There are a ton of other differences beyond my knowledge. Others will chime in. 8) Mike

Don't know the Euro exchange rate. They'll sound similar but the 6G6-B will have more clean headroom before it breaks up. Hope this helps..Mike

P.S. 3600€ it's equal to 5325.44 $ (head+speakers cab together)
Maybe ,it was better if it was a 5F6-A
