I just got a '59 Bassman LTD and before rolling various output tubes through it, I would like to understand the bias specs of the amp. What is the ideal plate current? What's the max plate current the power supply can handle? Are there optimized plate current specs available for various output tubes in this amp?

I tried to find ANY bias information for this amp and found absolutely nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Look for the data sheets on the particular tubes you're using to figure out what their optimum characteristics are. Try checking the Fender Amp Field Guide (google it) for a schematic of your amp. It will have correct voltages on it and probably some info on biasing this amp.
