I have a 1972...I think , super six. I'm wornding, can the reverb in/out be used as an efx loop. When I got it, it didn't have the reverb tank. It has the RCA jacks for the reverb in/out. Can it be done?

David, I'm not too sure, sounds possible, but I'd go to www.thefenderforum.com introduce yourself and ask there. No offense meant here, but TFF has a lot of really technical people there as well as many amp builders who could answer you questions without any guesswork.
I've learned a lot from those guys and they really like helping out.

Dave, maybe the Weber tube effect loop add-on would serve you better and preserve the reverb section you already have. It's a more benign mod IMHO, and you can opt for the send and return control pots. After all with a '72 amp I'd consider the aspect of being able to remove any mods with the least amount of footprint. ART

Is there some reason you want the effects to go through the reverb channel? The reverb channel drives a signal with a (or part of a) 12AX7; I don't think this is what you want.

If you're just looking to switch your effects in and out of the signal path, a better solution would be to get a true bypass loop pedal - has an input (guitar ) and output (amp) and a "to effects" and "from effects". When it's off, your signal path is clean and clear.

Many companies offer replacement reverb tanks - they're not that much and you'd have great effects and a killer sounding reverb.
