Hey Guys,

I have a Vibrolux Reverb I bought new in 1984. It has been well cared for but never maintenanced. I'd like to buy a new set of tubes for it, I assume that's the place to start. Can anyone tell me where to go to purchase these.

I've never worked on an amp before, and am electronicly challanged.

Any info or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Any of the big-box or online retailers will have tubes, Easiest to take the old ones with you or copy the list from inside the amp/schematic.
I use a Twin II through one or two cabs, each with 2 tens and a twelve, but I've always thought a pair of Vibroluxes would be the ultimate setup.

I recently rescued a Bassman100 tube amp head, which is in mediochre condition but it does work. I am currently working on restoring it cosmetically ( replacing the grille cloth, etc.,) and will take it to a repair shiop to have the innards checked out. The tubes heat up, so they're okay, as far as I can tell- they may need replacing, but I just love this thing!!!! I used to play though it with a Peavey Black Widow 15" cabinet and my "82 P-Bass never sounded better! I am - will be - shopping for a vintage Fender cabinet to match with it - any ideas or input on where I should beging looking, and what I can expect to pay?

Try www.vacuumtubes.com or www.thetubestore.com. If you know what you're looking for and willing to risk it, you can buy off of ebay. Google "Fender Amp Field Guide" and find your amp to figure out what tubes you need. Price will vary depending on the age and quality of the tubes you buy.
