Sadly I must sell a 1959 4-10 Bassman. Could anyone help me establish its true market value?

Seriously, do a completed listing search on Ebay. They can range from 1000.00 to 6000.00 depending on condition. Hope this helps. 8) Mike

Mike gives solid advice about checking completed ebay sales.

The Fender Field Guidehas a small macro that tracks ebay sales and averages them. There is also a graphic that shows you the highs and lows. (Kinda does your ebay research for you) Note that the recent high for this amp was over $9,000. Obviously - condition is everything. IMHO - ebay is a "wholesale" price.

Also - www.gbase.com is a site where vintage dealers list their inventory. You can use the advance search for the product name and provide a range in dates. This will give you an idea of "retail". Currently there are 12 narrow panel Bassmans listed

Obviously we all want to get "retail". You might try craigslist in your area - using both the ebay tracking and some pricing from gbase - you might be able to get a fair amount for the amp.

Sorry to hear you have to let it go. Good luck.

The 58's fetch around the £11/12K mark here. Surely £9/10K isnt too much to ask based on that, is it?
