For many years I have carted this amp from place to place, never really playing it. And with another move ahead, it's time for it to go, but I obviously don't want to dump it in a landfill. The speaker's been long blown, and I'm not even sure if all the circuitry works anymore.

I think I bought it in 1969 when I was a kid. First amp. (I don't play anymore.) Here it is in the 1968 Fender catalogue:

Is there any kind of collector value for this? I'vev done some searching and haven't been able to come up with anything definitive. What I have gleaned indicates that Fender had a flop with the Solid State line and quickly went back to tubes. Can anyone provide some info and background? Thanks.

Seen a few of them back in the day. Can't see much value in them. Sorry. 8) Mike

I think you have "gleaned" correctly, but as they say, some people will collect almost anything?

According to the Price Guide from Vintage Guitar, an amp like yours in excellent condition should bring between 275 and 325 USD.

The same Deluxe Reverb with tubes fetches between 1200 and 1600, so, yes, the solid state model isn't exactly popular with players.

I have a modified circuit that I want to build from scratch for a tube version of the same amp model. Looking for a "body" to put it in. I would be interested in this carcus.
Let me know.
Shame that something that old is not worth anything. Maybe you'd feel better knowing I made a working amp from it!
