Show us your amp--here's mine (even though it's not vintage--I want to see everybody else's amps):

Fender '63 Reissue Vibroverb, bought new in 1992. Replaced the stock speakers (they were blown) with 50W/8 ohm Eminences in 1998 or so...best amp I've ever owned.[/img]

Just bought this yesterday and have not gotten too deep in researching it..... there are some conflicting items that make dating it difficult. I need to read the numbers on the transformer and just have not gotten to that.

It is a 1969/1970 Princeton...... Circuit # AA964. It has the 3 way ground switch. Blue sparkle grill cloth with alum. frame. The Fender logo should have the tail - so this could be a replacement logo. The name "Princeton - Amp is two lines . It has a 10" Celestion speaker - which is a replacement.

The guy I bought this from had purchased it with a LP hoping to learn how to play. The amp is from a well-know vintage shop in Cincinnati. He never took up the guitar. The amp is excellent condition.

If any one has a manual for this amp - I would love to get a copy of it. I would pay for printing and postage.

Purchase price - $350. That is my vintage 1974 Tele Thinline with the amp that I have owned since 1983. The other guitar is my 2008 Charvel So-Cal.

Here is its little brother I horse-traded for about two months ago. A 1966 blackface Champ......

Mike - VERY nice. Were you able to get the speaker cabinet with it..... or did you have to hunt it down separately?

Got it all together. I did pull and stash away the Oxfords that came in the cab and replaced them with Weber 12F150's. Great speakers by the way. Thanks for the compliment. 8) Mike

Thanks for the compliment, Mezz.

My wife gave that to me several years before we started dating (we grew up together--I chased her but she wouldn't give me the time of day for years!).

When the amp is turned on, it makes the eyes light up red...the only bad thing about it is that it's made of ceramic, so I have to be careful how I handle it...it stays put because of strategically placed velcro (...and who doesn't love strategically placed velcro? ).

Your Princeton is a 1968, it has the aluminum frame, same as my '68 Princeton-Reverb (Which I go for the cool sum of $0 due to my friend blowing up my amp, though I did have to get it repaired for 280 with a Jensen P10R speaker installed)

My smokin' Rivera Fandango 112 c/w matching 112 ext. cab. The amp itself is a 3/4 open back and the ext. cab is closed back. Really nice combination for chimey
bell tones and deep bottom end grunt. The green channel is Killer. The red channel is also good but not really my thang.
It's definitely hotter than the green channel but is more midrangey.

Image

My pristine 1972 Vibrolux Reverb. The VR is arguably the Holy Grail of Vintage Fender tone. Prolly the most touch sensitive amp Fender ever made. That means novices
hate it and experts love it because it amplifies your hands almost as much as the guitar. It's a blues-man's dream.

Hello, this is my first post here, just registered myself so HELLO to all from Canary Islands/Spain.

Two days ago the father of a friend asked me to have a look at his garage and he told me: "Please take away that monster amp that sits here for ages..." I couldn't believe my eyes, what a nice present and not even birthday or Christmas:

Image
Today I took it to a friend that builds and repairs valve amps and he will change valves, do a general cleaning and bias correction (+- 200€)

In front my -slightly pimped- '57 reissue Strat from 1987.

A question: Does anybody of you have a manual of the Bassman 100??

Kind regards,
Gregor
