I think it should be noted that the original amp has such a high value due to it's scarcity, not because of it's 5x better sounding than a similar vintage fender. I play a 94 reissue in a "for fun" group. I really like it's tone. The epitome of a classic Fender, yet different enough to warrant it's own listen against a Deluxe. I think the going value of a reissue is about 800-1200 if anyones looking

Here's my baby; I bought it new in 1992:

...and yes, I branded her in case she wanders away from the herd!

Wow. That's a well taken care of amp! I really like the branding, I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that before.

Thanks, Chris1980--

I am a bit particular about how I treat my amp(s); this is also the first (and only) amp I ever bought new, so made sure to always keep it covered and cautious about where it goes (it's never been loaned to anyone unless I was there playing, too). If you take care of them, they'll take care of you!

As far as the brand, I only did that recently (earlier this month). I figured after 17 years I wasn't going to get rid of it anytime soon, so I might as well "put my mark" on it...literally! I also put it on a spot that would be easy to re-cover in case the unspeakable happened and I had to sell it.
