Hey Gang,
I tripped across one of these the other day, pretty clean, but tubes seem to be shot.
The shop didn't have a price... what would be a ball park price for something like this?
Thanks Bill

I use www.gbase.com to check out the vintage shops. There was one hit for a 1975 Silverface Super 6 $1,699.00

CodeKinesis tracks ebay sales and has the Super Reverb listed - I'm not sure if that is the Super 6.

Hope this helps

I don't what would be the cost of a Super 6, but the Super 6 was my first real amp.

It's actually called the Fender Super 6 Reverb, and the chassis is based on the Fender Twin. So, it's a Fender Twin with 6 x 10" speakers.

You can see it behind me (on the left) in this picture from 1974:

I had a LPB-1, FOXX Fuzz and CryBaby plugged into it.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the replies
I called the shop and asked the owner to give me a bottom line price... he hasn't called back yet, but I'll keep you posted

It's a great sounding amp, but it's a bear to lug around. It is a Twin with 6 tens. They also had a Quad Reverb with 4 twelves.

Remember, these things are loud, clean, reliable as long as it was maintained, and heavy.

Hey Mike,
I am a kid...a 49 year old kid :D Yeah its a big un' . Anyway the shop wanted $900.00 plus I would have to put some tubes, so I guess I won't have to worry about any future "back"problems :?
Thanks for everyones help
Bill

Yeah, as an older rhythm player, I've always wondered how those big boys sounded! Used an older Twin Rreverb until I found my Clubman 35. But I remember hearing Freddy King at the Troupedoer(sp?) in LA, a bunch of times in the sixties, using the Quad Reverb and a red Gibson(355?). Bet that Super Six really moves some air! Art

$900's a little steep. You'll need a good bit more for tubes and a truss. In that condition, I'd offer maybe $600 on the high end. I tried a Super Six and a Quad Reverb, but settled on the Twin just for the weight factor. Granted I was only 21 at the time in 76 but I only weighed 120lbs. LOL. The Super Six has a tighter bottom end, the Quad is really bass heavy. The Twin was just right for me. Sounds like the Three Bears.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. They're fun amps.
